The MegaWHAT? Citizens' Collective supports energy
conservation and energy generation that protects the natural environment and
 human health while promoting a greener economy.

MegaWHAT was formed in March 2008 as a group of residents concerned about the OPA's plan to locate a large, inefficient power plant somewhere in Northern York Region. The group quickly grew with support from all of the municipalities affected by the proposal.

Despite the plant site being identified in King next to the Holland Marsh (where else would you locate it), strong support continues from all regions since we are all affected no matter where the plant is located.

Despite the location being chosen, we still believe that there is a chance for the government to protect the air we breath.

MegaWHAT would like to say thanks for all of the community support we enjoy. York Region is a great place to live and we are grateful to be part of this great region.
